First Line Leader Programme
This course combines lean manufacturing techniques with the interpersonal skills necessary to be an effective leader, giving you the understanding and confidence to lead your team to success. This programme is aimed at first-line managers responsible for keeping shop floor processes running smoothly and efficiently.
What is the First Line Leader Programme?

Today’s first line leaders and managers must wear many different hats, and have the knowledge, skills and attributes to help themselves and their teams to achieve personal, team and business objectives.

The course is designed to help attendees develop a better understanding of the importance of their roles and to provide them with the tools, skills, and knowledge to become better at what they do.

The course includes key modules to help the attendees better understand Lean, identifying wastes, the concept of customer value and the importance of structured problem solving and how these principles together can help them achieve their goals.
How is the course structured?

Delivered one day a week over 9 weeks; the training is engaging, practical and hands-on, giving the attendee the tools, techniques and confidence to manage and lead their operation effectively.

The training is structured to provide opportunities for meaningful discussion and reflection on what Management and Leadership means to the attendee.

Including exercises and breakout groups, there is ample opportunity to learn and be inspired by fellow learners.

Eight of the days are delivered on site at our training facility, one day is based off site on a factory visit, giving attendees a unique opportunity to observe and experience manufacturing best practice in person.

A Mentor from the attendees’ organisation will be required to support this training.
